Jordyn Jay

Founder and Executive Director 

Originally from Jacksonville, FL, Jordyn Jay (she/her) is a community organizer, arts advocate, and producer based in Brooklyn, NY. She is the Founder and Executive Director of the Black Trans Femmes in the Arts Collective (BTFA). Before founding BTFA, Jordyn received her Master's degree in Art Politics from NYU Tisch School of the Arts. Jordyn is a firm believer in the power of art to inspire radical sociopolitical change and is dedicated to using that power for Black trans liberation.

B. Hawk Snipes

B. Hawk Snipes (They/She) is an entrepreneur, award winning social activist, non-binary ballroom trailblazer, archivist, entertainer & model from The Bronx,NY. She graduated from Fiorello H LaGuardia HS for Dance/Art and has an Associate Degree in Fashion Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT). In 2019 she joined The BTFA Collective as one of its original members. Miss Mojo

Miss Mojo (She/Her) is a multi-talented Personality, Rapper, Photographer, Poet, +Model, and Artist from NYC. Anointed the Queen of the Trans Revolution, Mojo is an advocate for the Black Trans community, the Arts, Equity, and Love. Miss Mojo is the Artist and the Art. 

 

Daria Dee

Daria Dee (She/Her) is a multifaceted actress, model, community leader, event producer, content creator and creative director from New Jersey, based in New York City. She is the founder of Hip Hop Pride which celebrates LGBTQ+ contributions to Hip Hop and serves as core member and digital communications lead for the BTFA Collective. Daria was an original editor for the award winning night life publication TENz Magazine and has appeared in TV productions like Pose and Blue Bloods. Her work has been featured in notable publications such as Bloomberg, Vogue and The New York Times. She studied Communications at Virginia State University, an HBCU.
