In House Programming

BTFA also produces in-house programming specifically for Black trans femmes to build community, develop their artistry, and obtain the necessary resources to survive and thrive as a Black trans artist.

Artist Meet-ups

Our artist meet-ups allow Black trans femme artists to connect with each other, share resources and build communities. These meet-ups are what lead to the creation of BTFA and are an integral part of the way we build and maintain community with Black trans femme artists in New York City (more locations coming soon).

Ballroom Lab

BTFA’s hottest new in-house program is the Ballroom Labs. Hosted by legends, statements, and stars in the Ballroom community, the Ballroom Lab allows Black trans femmes to learn from other Black trans femmes in a safe and supportive environment every 2 weeks.

BTFA Art Visits

BTFA’s Art Visits create opportunities for Black trans femmes to explore the rich artistic and cultural landscape of New York City, and to be exposed to new mediums, venues, and artists that may inspire them to try something new.
